SafeDriving.ie was set up as an online resource to promote safer driving on Ireland's roads. It draws on the resources of numerous stakeholders including the Road Safety Authority, An Garda Siochana and the Health & Safety Authority to produce a road safety news site, which is updated daily and offers a myriad of information aimed at keeping motorists safe on the road.
SafeDriving.ie is currently available on the web and can be viewed on a desktop computer or laptop and has been configured to work with iPads, Tablets and Smartphones of all shapes and makes. Readers can register for “News Alerts” which are delivered by email to subscribers.
In the near future, we will be adding a graphic rich eNewsletter, which will be delivered by email on a monthly basis. We are also looking at the possibility of introducing a “text alert” feature, so if there are any mobile phone operators out there, that would like to sponsor this feature feel free to give us a call.
We'll also be adding Facebook, Twitter and Google + accounts and developing our social media footprint in the coming weeks.
So how can you help?If you have a company website, you can help us promote SafeDriving.ie by linking to the site. Every link counts with our Search Engine Optimisation. If you would like to include a SafeDriving.ie logo on your site get in contact.
If you are on Facebook, Twitter or Google + you could ask your friends to look us up at SafeDriving.ie, and suggest that they ask their friends to check us out.
If you are selling products / services that promote road safety / safe driving and would like to sponsor the site, please do get in touch. We are actively seeking site sponsors, and can offer a very attractive package to potential sponsors.
We can offer you a display advert 300 pixels wide x 100 pixels tall, and a commitment to run all of your road safety relation PR on the site for the duration of the deal.
Crunching the numbersWe haven't set out with the attention of making money from SafeDriving.ie. However, it has to sit comfortably within our suite of websites and pay its way. Our company also produces leading haulage industry websites, HGVIreland.com, HGVUK.com and HaulageToday.com, so SafeDriving.ie can lean on the journalistic and design expertise of the other sites, but it still needs sponsorship to keep afloat.
