Ulster Bank @ the 2017 ISME Annual Conference

A team from Ulster Bank SME Banking and Lombard attended the 2017 ISME Annual Conference at the CityWest Hotel on Friday, November 6th. ISME or the Irish SME Association is the only independent representative association for Small and Medium Enterprises and currently has in excess of 10,500 members nationwide.

The title of the conference was “What’s Your Story? – Driving Business Growth through Storytelling. Attendees were asked to look at their own story to see how it could empower them to grow their business. This theme proved extremely pertinent as the Ulster Bank stand was buzzing throughout the day, providing the SME Banking and Lombard team a fantastic opportunity to meet and speak with a wide range of SME customers about their businesses and their growth plans moving forward.

The conference was opened by An Tánaiste, Minister Frances Fitzgerald T.D. , and was then followed by the keynote speech by Michael Cawley, Chairman, Fáilte Ireland.

Other highlights of the conference included John McGrane, Director General of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce discussing Brexit; an interview with Siobhan O’Connor, Managing Director of Codex Office Solutions; the presentation of the Sean Hannick SME Award; and breakout sessions on GDPR and Brexit.
