Biomarine Ingredients Ireland

Biomarine Ingredients Ireland plans to become an Irish food brand that is mentioned in the same breath as Kerry and Glanbia. BII is applying dairy technology and equipment to its raw material, fish, to produce protein and calcium powders and tap into a global protein ingredients sector that’s tipped to be worth nearly $40 billion by 2024. Innerstrength Health

Irish technology firm Innerstrength Health has raised an estimated €500,000 to bring new solutions to market following the success of its flagship product TickerFit. TickerFit, the company’s first product enables health professionals to prescribe, educate and monitor a heart patient’s recovery from a distance through a wearable device.

NDRC, the Dublin-based but nationwide early-stage tech investor, said it backed 28 new start-ups last year with companies across its portfolio receiving more than €50 million in follow-on deals in 2017. Overall, almost 80 ventures were supported through the organisation’s various programmes in 2017.
