Start-Up Story: Indigo Ivy

My inspiration is you… your looks, shape, size and personality are the reason my ideas come to life. I set up Indigo Ivy in 2012 after spending 4 ½ years in London training to do what I absolutely love. I design my own tweed country clothing, homewares and accessories all from my beautiful home in Northern Ireland. The superb country settings in which I have grown up has furthered my passion to provide you, my customer with the highest possible quality garments to make you look and feel at your very best. Every girl deserves to wake up in the morning and feel proud of her looks when walking out the door, this I believe is something to do with how you put yourself together. At Indigo Ivy we don’t just sell you a product we sell you a lifestyle.

To give you a bit of background, my family’s roots were as linen bleachers in County Antrim for over 200 years. I wanted to revisit those roots with a modern theme, hoping eventually to reintroduce manufacturing here in Northern Ireland once I have built the demand to a suitable level. I take immense pride in our history and have a great sense of passion and responsibility for creating something new in fabrics and clothing in an era where the textile industry has virtually left Northern Ireland entirely.

Anything is possible

To start up a company is an extremely difficult thing to do, but the way I see it, if you have enough drive and passion for something then anything is possible. It takes a lot of hard work, time, learning from your mistakes and knock backs to make the company become the success you thrive for. This is my third year now and im only just beginning to get the hang of things, but I love every minute of it and cant wait to see what the future holds for Indigo Ivy.

Please come visit us at and see how my dream became a reality.
