Sage Survey Highlights Value of Mentors to SMEs

Closing the 'mentoring gap' could help Ireland's 200,000 SMEs to increase their chances of success. An international Sage survey has found 94pc of Irish SMEs acknowledge that mentoring can help them to succeed but less than a third are currently making use of business mentors.

The Sage survey found that closing the 'mentoring gap' could help Ireland's 200,000 SMEs to increase their chances of success and that businesses that do not have access to, or choose not to make use of business mentoring are at a disadvantage. Mentoring can help businesses to make the right changes at the right times, develop new skills, navigate diverse company growth decisions and understand how to deal with people and problems.
