Happenings at Dogpatch Labs

Dogpatch Labs is a startup hub located in the heart of the Dublin Docklands. Our mission is to accelerate the development of Ireland’s startup ecosystem. We support startups & the tech community by providing a space to grow, share knowledge & form connections.

It may be summer season but it's been another active month at Dogpatch with a number of community happenings and news.

Excited to welcome a number new startups to the community including fintech startup AssureHedge (NDRC graduate) and BrowserStack. In our Community Meetup we heard from some incredibly talented members joining, from a professional hacker, to a former space engineer to a logistics expert and others. A diverse and multi-talented community evolving.

The big highlight was the launch of The Unilever Foundry at Dogpatch Labs. I’d encourage you to click the webpage below to find out more about the partnership. A terrific addition to the Dogpatch and Irish startup eco-system, their team has been brilliant to work with so far.

Dogpatch Labs featured a number of times in the press this month, with one article highlighting the active role we’ve been playing in helping emerging regional Irish startup hubs. Also our partnership with Ulster Bank in the context of 'fintech' innovation in Ireland featured more than once.

We're always looking to make Dogpatch an even better space to work and this month we started work on what are going to be 5 top-class skype booths. Excited to see them!

Happy 6th Birthday to CoderDojo!

It's been six years since the first CoderDojo session was held by James Whelton and Bill Liao in Cork. One of our longest residents at Dogpatch Labs, it's been great to see the steady growth of their global movement to provide free volunteer coding clubs for young people.
