Great Turnout for Ahead for Business Events

As part of our ambition statement of lending 1,2 billion to businesses and bringing that message from national to local levels, we launched Ahead for Business.

Ahead for Business - So far so good

We are a week into "Ahead for business" and it could not have gone any better. All events have been oversubscribed, the interaction with the SME has been interesting and robust. The case studies we presented of clients have worked with, are received well. Our economist Simon Barry is now labelled as the "positive economist" with an upbeat story about the Irish economic prospects and the opportunities for Irish companies. Success so far so.

Take-aways from the sessions so far:

  • the importance of our business, personal, treasury, asset finance and international trade specialists in the local business networks
  • there are a lot of cracking businesses out there
  • the ambition of our customers to do good business
  • improving our communications, and making sure our call handling delivers the speed and service you need (working on it!)

The upcoming events

Up till now we have done Athlone, Sligo, Limerick Galway, Waterford, Derry/Londonderry and Kilkenny. Next week is Cork, Cookstown, Dundalk., Lisburn and Kildare. If you want to attend, register at Most events are oversubscribed, so you might be better off contacting your local Ulster Bank branch.

Try us

What gives us particular heart is the quality of the businesses and their ambitions. With our ambition to make available 1.2 billion of lending and being the only bank in Ireland with the international connectivity, we think we can help companies achieve that ambition. Try us.
