Dualtron growing workforce and new business

Despite this year being challenging, Dublin firm Dualtron has recently increased its workforce and strengthened its technical support management team to handle additional support work.

A finalist in last year’s SFA National Small Business Awards, Dualtron is Ireland’s only provider of both cash handling equipment and cashless smartcard payment systems.

Irish banks and retailers use Dualtron’s money counting, sorting and forgery detection equipment. Cashless smartcard payment systems allow employees pay for catering and vending using their ID card. Dualtron recently celebrated 20 years in business.

“We have recruited a business development manager and a business support executive to help us develop new product offerings as well develop our existing ranges to meet new market requirements. As a result we have already started work on producing Electronic Rate Boards here in Dublin,” said Dave Byrne, managing director, Dualtron.

“We are also now offering a new electronic queue management system which we hope will be very successful. We have invested in training this year across the entire staff particularly on customer care and sales. We promoted various products at two separate exhibitions recently and will continue to push hard on marketing.”

Dualtron recently signed long-term agreements for technical support until December 2016 and is working on a new venture which will add considerably to its size and capabilities.

“Being a finalist in the SFA National Small Business awards was a great boost to company morale as well as impressing customers and suppliers alike. The whole experience was a very good one and we learned a lot from the various experiences. We'd like to come back again and try and win it,” Byrne said.
