Dairy Farming in Cork - New Entrant Farm Walk

Ulster Bank are delighted to sponsor a farm walk on the dairy farm of customers Daniel & Robert Cronin in Oysterhaven, Cork on Thursday June 28th.  The Teagasc hosted farm walk will showcase the tremendous achievements of the Cronin family since their conversion to dairy farming in 2017.

The Cronins now milk over 150 spring calving dairy cows with intentions to organically grow to over 300 cows in the next three years.  The picturesque farm while enjoying panoramic views has clearly demonstrated its top class ability to grow grass, produce milk and exceed targeted Key Performance Indicators since the conversion to dairy farming.

We are delighted to partner with Teagasc on this new entrant dairy farm walk.  The event will focus on active demonstration of the key management techniques relating to dairy infrastructure, Key Performance Indicators and farm finance.  The Cronins continue to grow their farm business while maintaining their focus on technological improvements notably genetics, constituent performance and grass growth.

The Cronin family are a pleasure to work with and we are delighted that they chose Ulster Bank to support them on their dairy journey.  The farm walk promises to be a wonderful event with a key focus on science, technology and dairy efficiency.  We look forward to meeting existing clients, stakeholders and potential customers at the event.

The farm is located at P17VC42 with sign posts from Belgooly on the day.  All welcome. The event commences at 11am.  This is a Department approved Knowledge Transfer Beef & Dairy Event.
