Business Event Focus: Momentum - Build, Scale & Grow


The next Dublin Chamber Momentum event for businesses takes place Tuesday 23rd October. We asked the Chamber to tell us a bit about the upcoming event:

What is Momentum?

Momentum is a series of four breakfast events and a continuation of the successful Momentum Summit conferences that Dublin Chamber has run since 2015. The aim of the series is to give Dublin Chamber members and Ulster Bank customers an opportunity to learn from Dublin based start-ups and entrepreneurs that have successfully scaled their businesses. 

Who is it for?

80 - 100 small and medium sized business owners that include members of the Dublin Chamber and Ulster Bank customers.

Where is it being held and when?

The next Momentum event takes place Tuesday, 23 October 2018 from 08:00 to 09:30 at Dublin Chamber, 7 Clare Street, Dublin 2.

Tom Gleeson, Founder, Bunsen

Tom graduated in 2008 from Trinity College Dublin, Business and Political Science. He completed the Diploma course in the famous Ballymaloe Cookery School in 2010.
Tom started Bunsen in 2013, working every day in the restaurant. Tom now oversees operations, new business development and marketing. Bunsen now has 6 locations in Ireland.

Noreen Doyle, Co-founder & CEO, The Irish Biltong Company

The Irish Biltong Company, which was founded in late 2015 by Noreen Doyle and her husband John, both of whom come from farming backgrounds and understand the importance of high quality produce:
The snacks are produced in-house in their fully licensed premises in Naas. The meat industry is been part of our heritage, both from farming background and livestock supply.”

As a family run business and an advocate for supporting local and recognising the importance of promoting the Irish Beef heritage and quality. Their family history and experience in agricultural processes, along with rearing Irish grass fed cattle on their own farm, allows the Doyles to give people that essential ingredient of trust that every customer needs The Irish Biltong Co. is a family owned business in County Kildare.

Eamon Moore, CEO, Hikari

Eamon Moore has been involved in the technology industry since 1995 and has worked with a variety of companies including CSK Software and ESAT/BT. He holds a degree in Computer Applications from Dublin City University and a Diploma in Cloud Strategy from the Irish Management Institute and University College Cork.

Eamon was the founder and CEO of business productivity and technology firm EMIT, overseeing its growth into one of Ireland’s foremost providers of managed services and Cloud solutions, earning recognition as leaders in this space in the form of Global Partner of the Year awards from Dell and Microsoft. He successfully exited the company in July 2018.

What do you expect attendees to get out of the Event?

The focus of the events is on sharing learnings and insights under the theme of Build, Scale & Grow. Previous speakers include Sonya Lennon, FA Finder, Jack Teeling, Teeling Distillery, Tom Gannon & Niall McGrath, Co-Founders, Fulfil Nutrition, Quincey Fennelly, CEO, Wicklow Wolf and Leonora O’Brien, Pharmapod.
