3 Essentials for E-Commerce Sites

Let's face it: it's a big world out there for the online shopper, with thousands of vendors for every need and demand. That said, the competition is vast for any online store and business, and the need to have a presentable, functioning website is important. Sometimes the poor quality of an E-Commerce site is on your company's end, and it is a terrible mistake to let it slide. This infographic covers the three essentials for a fully-functional, profitable site, and in turn success in getting sales and customer satisfaction:

Performance, Reliability, and Security in E-Commerce Sites

Performance: How likely do you think a potential customer is going to keep browsing your site when dreading that checkout page? You know, the one that's spinning wheels over accepting credit card info, not knowing if it even has? The frustration is understandable, and is critical to do so if you want to avoid the #1 reason customers will abandon and refuse to return to your site.

Reliability: Aside from looking bad, site downtime has a strong negative impact on sales, meaning not only you won't be profiting, but your competitors will off of customers looking past your down site. Truly unfortunate, and truly embarrassing given that 60% of the time, site downtime is a result of human error. ~~~

Security:  Perhaps the worst form of damage, worse than any lag or 404, could do to your site is a breach of security. A wide range of hackers, most linked to organized crime organizations, will use illegal methods to breach your site's security and steal customer information. More than once we've heard stories of large corporations' sites be compromised and put thousands of customers at risk: don't let this happen to you.
